Comic Life is an excellent comic book app that stands out among its competitors. According to Kit Eaton of The New York Times, Comic Life has the most features and works best on an iPad due to its larger screen size.

The app offers a range of impressive features that allow users to edit even the tiniest details, such as the shape and style of word bubbles and the precise size and placement of each story cell. Furthermore, Comic Life boasts a wide array of customizable templates, providing users with endless creative possibilities.

One of the most notable updates in Comic Life 3 is the integration of an advanced Script Editor, which recognizes elements as you type. Additionally, there are 17 new parametric image filters and a built-in Instant Alpha tool to easily remove image backgrounds. Other exciting additions include speedlines, halftones, updated stroke options, and more.

Comic Life makes it incredibly convenient to create comics on the go. With full page templates and panel layouts, users can seamlessly transition from taking photos to creating full comics within a single device. The integrated Script Editor allows for the creation of original stories, and users can simply drag and drop their text onto the comic page when finished.

The app also offers seamless photo integration by allowing users to import photos from their photo libraries or access web photos through Flickr integration. With Comic Life's powerful editing and design tools, users can effortlessly achieve their desired look.

After completing a masterpiece, users have various options for sharing. Whether it's through Facebook, Twitter, email, or as a PDF in another app, users can easily showcase their comics with friends and family.

With Comic Life 3, users can enjoy several new tools and features. The Script Editor* makes creating comics even more efficient by recognizing elements as you type. There are also 17 advanced parametric image filters to enhance your comic's visual appeal. Additionally, users can choose from dozens of fully customizable templates with hundreds of panel layout options.

Comic Life 3 also offers a convenient Instant Alpha tool, allowing users to effortlessly remove image backgrounds. Other notable additions include speedlines, halftones, textures, fully customizable fill and borders for balloons, lettering, captions, panels, and shapes. With over 60 font options and the ability to directly import photos from your library or use the integrated camera feature, Comic Life 3 provides a comprehensive and user-friendly experience.

Comic Life offers a multitude of practical uses. Users can read their comics using the integrated e-reader or create photo comics in the full-featured comic editor. Sharing options include Facebook, Twitter, email, AirDrop, and iTunes File Share. Users can even transfer their comics to Mac or Windows and continue working on them with Comic Life 3 on their desktop or laptop.

In addition, Comic Life allows users to send their comics to a printer on their wireless network. The app offers a variety of full-page layouts with panels, titles, and captions, as well as the ability to drag and drop elements anywhere on the comic page. Users can easily add photos from their library using the Place Photo button in panels and precisely curve and place balloon tails with advanced tail controls. The resizing and rotating capabilities enable users to clip images in panels alongside balloons, captions, and lettering.

Moreover, Comic Life provides customizable multilayered color gradients for lettering, captions, or background styles. The app offers smart shapes for common shapes and a freeform shape drawing tool for creating unique lines and shapes. Users can work without fear of losing their progress as documents are automatically saved whenever a change is made.
