Comic Life is an excellent comic book app that stands out among its competitors. According to Kit Eaton of The New York Times, Comic Life has the most features and works best on an iPad due to its larger screen size.

The app offers a range of impressive features that allow users to edit even the tiniest details, such as the shape and style of word bubbles and the precise size and placement of each story cell. Furthermore, Comic Life boasts a wide array of customizable templates, providing users with endless creative possibilities.

One of the most notable updates in Comic Life 3 is the integration of an advanced Script Editor, which recognizes elements as you type. Additionally, there are 17 new parametric image filters and a built-in Instant Alpha tool to easily remove image backgrounds. Other exciting additions include speedlines, halftones, updated stroke options, and more.

Comic Life makes it incredibly convenient to create comics on the go. With full page templates and panel layouts, users can seamlessly transition from taking photos to creating full comics within a single device. With over 60 font options and the ability to directly import photos from your library or use the integrated camera feature, Comic Life 3 provides a comprehensive and user-friendly experience.

Comic Life offers a multitude of practical uses. Users can read their comics using the integrated e-reader or create photo comics in the full-featured comic editor. Sharing options include Facebook, Twitter, email, AirDrop, and iTunes File Share. Users can even transfer their comics to Mac or Windows and continue working on them with Comic Life 3 on their desktop or laptop.

In addition, Comic Life allows users to send their comics to a printer on their wireless network. The app offers a variety of full-page layouts with panels, titles, and captions, as well as the ability to drag and drop elements anywhere on the comic page. Users can easily add photos from their library using the Place Photo button in panels and precisely curve and place balloon tails with advanced tail controls. The resizing and rotating capabilities enable users to clip images in panels alongside balloons, captions, and lettering.

Moreover, Comic Life provides customizable multilayered color gradients for lettering, captions, or background styles. The app offers smart shapes for common shapes and a freeform shape drawing tool for creating unique lines and shapes. Users can work without fear of losing their progress as documents are automatically saved whenever a change is made.
